Plumbing Service Technician

Upchurch is seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions for our diverse client base. In this field-based role, you will diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial environments. You’ll interpret plans and codes, identify root causes of issues, and recommend effective solutions while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Working closely with Upchurch’s professional teams, you’ll contribute to complex technical projects, communicate clearly with clients, document work performed, and uphold our client-first, collaborative culture. Diagnose and repair plumbing issues for residential and commercial clients Install, maintain, and upgrade piping, fixtures, and related systems Ensure work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety standards Prepare accurate estimates, work orders, and service documentation Communicate findings, options, and recommendations clearly to clients Collaborate with project teams to support larger technical engagements Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in safe working order Respond to urgent service calls and participate in on-call rotations as needed Residential plumbing repair Commercial plumbing systems Pipe fitting and installation Diagnostic and troubleshooting Plumbing code compliance Soldering and brazing Reading blueprints and schematics Use of plumbing hand and power tools Customer service and communication Job documentation and reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k State or local Journeyman Plumber license preferred EPA or backflow prevention certification a plus Valid driver’s license with clean record
