Job Description: Fire Alarm CAD Designer (Remote) – NICET III Required

Full benefits package, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTOAbout the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Fire Alarm CAD Designer to join its design team remotely. You'll produce code-compliant fire alarm system designs and submittal packages from concept through AHJ approval, working closely with project managers, installation teams, and [other trades/engineers].
Responsibilities:- Design and specify detailed fire alarm and suppression systems adhering to local, state, and national codes, regulations, and standards.
- Perform field surveys and attend project specific meetings
- Conduct thorough reviews of architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compatibility of design.
- Provide expert technical advice and solutions to complex design challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client teams to ensure specifications and designs meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage and oversee multiple design projects from concept through completion
- Obtain permits as required, including all related duties such as preparation, delivery, corrections, etc.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Hiller technicians and office staff to facilitate effective communications and exceptional customer service
- Stay updated with latest technologies and changes in fire protection regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III certification 5+ years of fire alarm system design experience
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable building and fire codes
- Proficiency in [AutoCAD / Revit / other]Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications:
