Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and allergy/asthma proceduresAdminister allergy injections and perform allergy skin testing under provider supervisionRecord and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in the EHR systemPrepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visitsSchedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide excellent front-to-back office supportEducate patients on treatment plans, medications, and allergy/asthma management techniquesHandle lab specimens, process referrals, and manage prior authorizations as neededRequirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferredPrior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or specialty practice setting preferredFamiliarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitudeAbility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced specialty medical environmentCPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hireAbout Us: Allergy & Asthma Associates has been a trusted provider of specialized allergy and asthma care for patients throughout the Arnold, MD community.
