Industrial Sewing Operator

What You'll Do: Ability to operate industrial sewing machines to produce mesh/solid belting and related products to specification. Select the correct sewing operation for each job, applying a working knowledge of how machines (single and double needle) and stitch methods differ. Fabricate parts and products beyond belting as orders require. Handle, position, and feed wide and long materials through the machine safely and accurately. Read job orders and packets and carry out the work independently with minimal supervision. Verify that materials received match the job packet before production begins. Confirm that components to be applied to cut belts are correct for the order. Inspect your own work for accuracy and quality throughout each job. Help investigate and resolve quality issues and returned products. Clean and maintain the work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Monitor stocked material levels and report when supplies run low. Ability to push, pull and feed wide and long material.
