School Custodian

Important: This is a temp staffing role with full or part time hours. It can involve various locations within Boulder Valley Schools. Location is flexible and can change. Cleans surfaces, public areas, elevators, escalators, seating areas, tables, windows, railings, floors, and restrooms Removal of trash can liners Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor Spot cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture Dust furniture and equipment Washes windows, door panels, and sills Empties and cleans ashtrays Transports trash and waste to disposal area Replenishes bathroom supplies Replaces light bulbs Delivers messages Transports small equipment or tools Sets up tables and chairs in meeting rooms, auditorium or hall Use of automatic scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractorsRole may require iOS or Android capability on personal cell phone to use quality assurance and timekeeping applications during work hours Other duties may be assigned Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time Dependability- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan Safety and Security- Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly Education/Experience No prior experience or training Language Ability Bilingual is preferred but not required. Computer Skills Basic computer skills preferred.
