Sr SQL DBA – Hybrid Cloud Environment Chicago, IL – hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in the loop, 2 days WFHSummaryWe're looking for a dynamic SQL DBA to work in a hybrid-cloud environment, owning various data-related initiatives such as code deployments, configuration updates, performance monitoring, security enhancements, troubleshooting, and backup/recovery services for cloud. Our tech stack includes SQL Server (on-prem), Azure SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure DevOps, and Azure Data Factory. You'll be working with various IT teams and business units to drive value through data, throughout our ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing:- Maintain operations of databases and DBMSsCode deployments that follow change management processes
- Review and execute policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management including error log review and database backups
- Assist in general system administrator of legacy and cloud resources which interact with database systems
- Implement and maintain database security
- Manage and document production and non-production databases to policies and standards
- Strengthen data management organization
- Follow and develop data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing system
- Optimize database access and allocate resources to align configuration, performance, and cost
- Skills We're Seeking 4+ years of experience as a SQL DBAAt least 2 years of experience with Azure SQL, and working in cloud environments
- Biggest nice to haves: Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Other nice to haves: Azure Data Factory and/or Azure DevOps
