Our far-reaching expertise has been achieved by supplying Mesh, Netting, Tricot Knit, and Spacer fabrics to an ever-expanding array of consumer, industrial, and government-related industries for over seventy years. We are seeking a Warp Hanger for THIRD shift to join us in our Mill in Graham. The environment is fast-paced, and you'll be working with a team of dedicated knitting professionals to help you take your textile career to the next level!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assemble warp beam sets, including checking & changing shaft bearings
- Select and mount beams on large steel shafts
- Apply spacers and collars
- Load completed warped beam sets onto knitting machines
- Check new warp to make sure all beams are lined up and collars are bolted in place
- Make sure all end caps are tightened
- Assist with maintaining housekeeping throughout the facility
Qualifications:
- Ability to use hoist to pick up warp and transfer it to the knitting machineAbility to lower and hang warp in the knitting machineAbility to drive a forklift (certified)
- Pre-employment substance screening and background check required.
- Physical Demands
Requires agility, good vision, legible and accurate record keeping, and comprehension of measurements and labels. Some mechanical skills involved including hoist operation and the use of a pry bar and wrench. Physical requirements include the use of a step ladder and up to 50 lbs. of force required in the use of hand tools. Steel-toe safety shoes and hearing protection is required. Forklift certification required (will train). Must be physically able to stand/walk on their feet 8 hours a day.
