Screw Machine Operator - 1st ShiftEaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Screw Machine Operator - 1st Shift. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business You'll Do: Responsible for directing, assisting, and leading a group of employees performing various machining operations. Ensures workflow efficiency, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols. Performs minor machine adjustments and supports production continuity. Perform threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling, and similar operations on departmental conventional machines excluding hand turret. Produce a variety of parts from a variety of minor tooling adjustments and resets to maintain specified dimensions. Inspect first pieces and verify machine setup before releasing to to machine safety procedures. Operate Single and Multi-Spindle Drill Presses and other conventional machines. Load castings and bar stock to maintain continuous machine and pack plated parts to support machine cycles. Use measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, scales) to verify part accuracy. Detect and report faulty operations or fork truck and hand trucks to move clean, safe, and organized work area. Perform TPM activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening of bolts. Perform base clean outs as needed.
