Car Driver - Part-Time

Car Driver Part-TimeBuena Vista City Public Schools is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Car Driver to assist with the transportation of students to and from school, educational programs, and other approved locations. Responsibilities include safely transporting students using a school division vehicle, following assigned routes, schedules, and transportation instructions, maintaining appropriate student supervision and ensuring students follow safety procedures, conducting basic vehicle safety checks before and after trips, maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle, reporting any vehicle concerns, accidents, or student-related issues promptly, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating professional conduct when working with students, families, and staff. Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications include possessing a valid Virginia driver's license and having an acceptable driving record, being at least 21 years of age, successfully completing all required background checks, successfully completing a pre-employment drug screening and any other drug/alcohol testing required by BVCPS, being dependable, punctual, and able to work independently, having the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and transportation personnel, and previous experience transporting or working with children is preferred but not required.
