Job Description:
Seeking a seasoned BILINGUAL (Spanish/English) Medical Assistant with front desk experience (minimum 3 years) to join our team in a busy pediatric and young adult medical specialty office. We are looking for someone who is mature and pleasant in personality, patient, great with kids and adults alike, friendly, compassionate, works well in a team atmosphere and has an excellent work ethic. Knowledge of obtaining authorizations for radiologic procedures a must. Computer literacy and attention to detail is also required. We do not use EMR therefore filing charts and e-mailing or faxing scripts are part of the job. Must be cretified to give intramuscular injections.
Responsibilities include:
greeting patients with a smilepreparing charts for doctoraccurately measuring height, weight and other vital signsbringing patients to exam roomscleaning/preparing exam rooms for next patientsintramuscular injectionssome blood drawsreviewing lab results and identify abnormalitiesplacing completed lab results in charts for doctor's overviewgetting authorizations for radiologic proceduresanswering phonesattending to patient questionsscheduling and confirming appointmentssending patients appropriate paperworkkeeping track of patients for reschedulingfiling charts and preparing charts for next day Candidate must be willing to work from 8:30 am until the last patient leaves (usually between 5:30 and 6:00). We close early on Fridays.
Compensation: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
