Pay Rate:
hourly rate, plus commission, tips, and a 90 day commission guarantee. Potential to average $37 or more per hour!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues for the purpose of health and well-beingAble to perform all massage services offered by Wave SpaRecommend beneficial exercises for continued healthKeep work area clean, organized and sanitizedRecommend retail products for guests' needsRecommend and schedule guests future appointmentsProvide backup support to Spa ReceptionistProcess cash, credit / debit card and comp transactions for services and retail productsHandle incoming calls, schedule appointments and answer questions regarding the property KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Required Knowledge and Certification: Graduate of an accredited school of Massage TherapyDemonstrated knowledge of massage therapy products and latest trends Required Skills: Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Required Abilities: Ability to work efficiently and consistentlyAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to learn appropriate product and equipment usageAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to enthusiastically and professionally sell spa products and servicesAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk and stand for long periods throughout the dayMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoopMust be able to reach and twist routinelyMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyMust have manual dexterity necessary to perform massage therapyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordination WORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in the Spa, which includes chemicals, aroma therapy scents and nail products; May require going on the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work with massage oils and productsMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
