We are looking for a Buyer to join a Cleveland-area manufacturing team. This role is a great fit for someone who understands manufacturing operations, enjoys working with vendors, and can manage purchasing from sourcing and pricing through delivery.
What you'll do:
Purchase raw materials, supplies, outside services, and other items needed to support production.
Source vendors, review bids and quotes, and negotiate pricing and terms.
Create and manage purchase orders using SAP.Track orders, resolve purchasing issues, and ensure timely delivery.
Work with internal departments to support production needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor vendor performance, quality, and delivery.
What we're looking for:
2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
SAP/ERP experience strongly preferred.
Strong Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
