Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer

Location: Greater Chicago Area

Compensation: $85,000 to $120,000 DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, Unlimited PTO, Holidays, Parental Leave, 401K with 5% match We are hiring a Safety Analysis Engineer for our advanced nuclear client who is developing next-generation microreactor systems for data centers, industrial operations, remote communities, and critical infrastructure. This role will assess the safety performance of the reactor design while working closely with engineering to deliver on safety goals. Requirements: M.S./PhD in Nuclear Engineering or a related field, or B.S. with 3+ years of experience in Nuclear Engineering or a related field 2+ years of experience with a system analysis code such as RELAP, TRACE, MELCOR, GOTHIC, FLOWNEX, or similar 2+ years of thermal hydraulics experience, including steady-state and transient analysis Strong foundations in areas such as reactor physics, safety analysis, fuel performance, materials performance, system analysis, and PRAExperience developing models, performing analysis, and assessing results Self-motivated, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks independently Ability to communicate technical information clearly to teammates, leaders, and customersWHY AVERRO?Averro is a veteran-owned staffing and solutions firm connecting top talent with cutting-edge companies.
