Dental Hygienist

Denham Springs Dental Care is seeking a caring Dental Hygienist to join our family-focused general dentistry practice in Denham Springs, LA. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive preventive care, periodontal therapy, radiographs, and patient education in a modern, comfortable setting. You will collaborate closely with our dentists and team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, support long-term oral health, and create a welcoming experience for families. Provide dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and routine hygiene services Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and oral cancer screenings Take and interpret digital radiographs following safety protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment plans Maintain strict infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance Document findings and treatment in the practice management/EHR system Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure quality patient care Support a welcoming, patient-centered environment for families Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and recall as needed Dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Scaling and root planing Dental radiography (digital X‑rays) Use of intraoral cameras and charting software Local anesthesia administration (where permitted) Instrument sterilization and infection control Periodontal assessment and charting Patient oral hygiene instruction and education Fluoride and sealant application Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in state of practice CPR/BLS certification Local anesthesia certification (preferred/if allowed by state law)
