The Opportunity:
As the Chief Operating Officer at Foundersmax, you will serve as the engine of operational execution, working alongside the Founding Team to scale studio operations, optimize cross-portfolio venture building, and drive strategic initiatives from incubation to commercial execution.
You will establish repeatable operational playbooks, oversee studio resources, and build high-performance systems across talent, finance, product delivery, and go-to-market functions. This executive role offers a strong competitive compensation package paired with significant early-stage studio equity, giving you a direct ownership stake in the enterprise value built across the entire Foundersmax venture portfolio.
ResponsibilitiesStudio Strategy & Execution: Translate high-level vision into actionable operational milestones, aligning studio resources, talent, and capital to execute company creation playbooks efficiently.
Portfolio Operational Support: Partner with venture founders and company leads across the studio portfolio to establish operational infrastructure, track core KPIs, and resolve execution bottlenecks.
Systems & Playbook Optimization: Design, implement, and scale standardized operational frameworks for venture validation, product execution, talent acquisition, and go-to-market execution.
Financial & Resource Management: Oversee studio budget allocation, vendor relations, resource management, and operational reporting to maintain sustainable growth metrics across projects.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Align engineering, product, marketing, and venture build teams across portfolio companies to ensure seamless communication and delivery timelines.
Governance & Investor Readiness: Build and maintain clear reporting structures, board update cadences, and investor-readiness frameworks for studio portfolio companies raising external capital.
Who You AreProven Operational Leader: 7+ years of progressive operational leadership experience (e.g., COO, VP of Operations, Head of Operations, or Venture Studio Director) in fast-paced startup, tech, or venture build environments.
Venture & Builder Mentality: Deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, venture studio dynamics, and what it takes to build zero-to-one tech companies efficiently.
Systems & Process Architect: Exceptional ability to create clarity out of ambiguity by building scalable systems, repeatable frameworks, and operational playbooks.
Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Data-driven leader skilled at managing multi-project budgets, resource allocation, and key performance metrics (KPIs/OKRs).
Exceptional Executive Communicator: Proven capability to collaborate, influence, and lead across diverse stakeholders, including founders, studio teams, investors, and advisors.
