City Administrator The City of Pottsville announces that it has begun a comprehensive search for a new City Administrator. "We are at a transition point in Pottsville," said Mayor Tom Smith. "We are looking for someone with a real bias for action who understands how to build consensus across viewpoints, and has a professional track record of ethics and integrity. This person should also possess the skills, experiences, and/or familiarity with the culture of a working class municipality like Pottsville and Schuylkill County, which has a strong industrial heritage."The City has engaged the services of Templeton Advantage, LLC to ensure a thorough and efficient process, who has completed a series of executive searches for the Pottsville Area School District, Blue Mountain School District, and Intermediate Unit #29."We are excited about the future of Pottsville. Pottsville is 52 miles south of Wilkes-Barre, 47 miles west of Allentown, 96 miles northwest of Philadelphia, and 135 miles west of New York City. Pottsville is governed by a council and a Mayor.
