A Day in the Life of a Jovie NannyNo two days are exactly alike, and that's part of what makes working with Jovie so rewarding. Some days might involve caring for an infant, planning crafts with a toddler, or helping school-aged children with homework and after-school activities. Depending on your placement, you may work with the same family on a consistent schedule or provide temporary and backup care for families who need an extra helping hand. What You'll Be Doing:
As a Jovie nanny, your responsibilities may include:
Providing attentive, nurturing, and dependable childcare in families' homes.
Planning age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and educational experiences.
Supporting children's developmental milestones through play and daily interactions.
Transporting children to and from school or activities when required by the placement.
Following each family's household guidelines, routines, and expectations.
What We're Looking For:
We're searching for caregivers who genuinely enjoy working with children and take pride in providing exceptional care.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 2 years of childcare experience combined with three childcare references, two being professional level.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
The ability to work independently and adapt to different household environments.
Willingness and ability to commute for up to 45 minutes.
Full-time candidates should have the ability to be ready to work between the hours of 7am-7pm, Monday through Friday.
Part-time caregivers are required to have one weekend of availability per month.
Preferred Experience:
We especially encourage applications from candidates with professional childcare backgrounds, including:
- Career nannies.
- Daycare, preschool teachers, and early childhood educators.
- Elementary school teachers and paraprofessionals.
- Experience caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers is a plus!
