WoundReference is a growing digital health company providing evidence-based clinical decision support, education, workflow, and reimbursement intelligence for wound care and hyperbaric medicine professionals. As we continue to grow, we're expanding our commercial team and looking for an exceptional Senior Account Executive to help accelerate our next stage of growth. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys building as much as selling. You'll personally develop pipeline and close institutional business while working closely with our founders to identify new markets, refine our go-to-market strategy, and help scale our commercial engine.
What You'll Do:
Build and own a pipeline of new institutional opportunities across hospitals, health systems, post-acute organizations, mobile wound care groups, and other healthcare organizations.
Personally generate new business through thoughtful outbound prospecting, referrals, partnerships, networking, conferences, and creative market development.
Lead consultative discovery and product demonstrations with clinical, operational, financial, IT, and executive stakeholders.
Translate customer challenges into compelling value propositions for WoundReference and CliniPaths.
Navigate complex healthcare buying processes, develop champions, multi-thread opportunities, and establish clear next steps that move deals forward.
Build business cases around clinical standardization, staff education and competency, quality, compliance, reimbursement, and workflow efficiency.
Maintain excellent follow-up, CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, and forecasting.
Identify new customer segments, use cases, partnerships, and growth opportunities and bring those insights directly to leadership.
What We're Looking For:
A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota in healthcare SaaS, clinical technology, clinical decision support, or another complex healthcare solution.
Proven success personally generating pipeline and winning net-new business, rather than relying primarily on inbound leads.
Experience selling to hospitals, health systems, post-acute organizations, physician organizations, or other complex healthcare enterprises.
Ability to engage and build consensus among clinicians, administrators, finance, IT, and C-suite stakeholders.
Strong consultative discovery, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, and closing skills.
Excellent written communication, attention to detail, organization, and CRM discipline.
High initiative and the ability to operate successfully in an entrepreneurial environment.
A collaborative mindset and ability to turn feedback and market insights into action.
Clinical Background? We'd Especially Like to Hear From You!
We're particularly interested in candidates who combine strong healthcare technology sales performance with clinical experience. You may have worked as a nurse, therapist, advanced practice clinician, wound care professional, or other healthcare professional before transitioning into healthcare technology sales. Or you may have developed deep clinical expertise selling clinical decision support, workflow, healthcare education, EHR-integrated, quality/compliance, or similar solutions.
Clinical licensure and wound care experience are not required. A strong sales track record and ability to learn and communicate complex clinical solutions are more important.
You'll Probably Thrive Here If You...Enjoy creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
Can move comfortably between conversations with clinicians and executives.
Want to understand why customers buy—not simply demonstrate product features.
Are energized by discovering new markets, customer segments, and use cases.
Want your ideas to influence company strategy.
Value autonomy, accountability, and measurable results.
Want to remain a hands-on seller and personally own revenue outcomes.
Would rather help build the playbook than simply inherit one.
