About the Role:
The Company is seeking a Dean for its School of Public and Environmental Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the school across its two core campuses, with a focus on sustaining and extending its national leadership in public affairs and environmental education. This role requires a strategic leader with a terminal degree and a distinguished record of scholarship, research, or professional accomplishment. The Dean will be expected to work with the company's partners on societal challenges, grow student markets, and build interdisciplinary partnerships. Experience in senior academic leadership, a clear understanding of the national public affairs education market, and a commitment to the mission of public higher education are essential. The Dean will inherit a highly successful school and must be prepared to protect and extend its national reputation, recruit and retain excellent faculty and staff, and ensure the school's programs align with the needs of public service, environmental sustainability, and related fields. Key responsibilities include generating resources, supporting faculty excellence, and representing the school to internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission of public higher education, respect for shared governance, and the ability to build trust in a large, high-performing academic community. Political acumen, emotional intelligence, and a deep belief in public service are also important qualities for the role. Hiring Manager Title
