Associate Pastor
First Presbyterian Church Greer is seeking an Associate Pastor to join us in ministry in one of the fastest-growing communities in Upstate SC. We are a welcoming, active congregation seeking a relational and collaborative pastor with a particular heart for children, youth, families, mission, and community engagement.
The Opportunity:
The Associate Pastor will provide primary pastoral leadership for Children's & Youth Ministries and Missions & Outreach, while participating fully in the broader pastoral life of the congregation.
Working collaboratively with our Senior Pastor, staff, and lay leaders, the Associate Pastor will also have opportunities to:
Preach and lead worship and the sacraments;
Strengthen faith formation and intergenerational ministry;
Equip and encourage volunteers and lay leaders;
Help children and youth develop meaningful relationships within the church;
Engage the congregation in local and broader mission; and
Help FPC Greer respond creatively to the opportunities of a growing community.

We hope to call someone who enjoys working with children and teenagers, values mission and service, communicates effectively, and brings both initiative and creativity to ministry.
Candidates discerning a first ordained call are encouraged to consider this opportunity, as are pastors with congregational experience.
