Director of Music & Worship
JupiterFIRST Church, an inclusive UCC congregation in Jupiter, Florida, seeks a Director of Music and Worship to shape meaningful worship for a diverse, multigenerational community. Our services draw on hymns, gospel, jazz, pop, and contemporary worship, and we're looking for a musician who can move fluently across that range.

About You:
You're a skilled musician and steady leader who can direct ensembles with ease. You hold tradition and creativity together without favoring one over the other. You work well with pastors and staff and enjoy collaborating with professional and volunteer musicians.
Responsibilities: Lead multigenerational congregation in Sunday worship through music
Select, arrange, and lead music aligned with sermon themes and the church calendar
Direct band and volunteer musicians across age groups and skill levels
Collaborate with pastors and staff on service planning
Oversee and manage production and logistics of worship services
Recruit, mentor, and schedule rotating music teams
Manage the music program's budget and administration
Qualifications: Christian faith aligned with progressive, inclusive theology
Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience
Proficient vocalist; skilled in piano/keys or guitar
Experience directing a choir, preferred
Experience leading blended, multigenerational worship
Familiarity with worship technology, preferred
Strong communication and teamwork
Able to pass a background check
Compensation & Hours
Full-time with competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
