Cemetery Services Specialist

Location: Brownsville, TX 78526 Contract: 6 Months (Temp-to-Hire)XXXX: XXXXXXXXXXX/Hr. on W2Shift Timing: 8:00 AM-5:00 PMJob Summary We are seeking a Cemetery Services Specialist to support daily cemetery operations and ensure burial services are conducted safely, respectfully, and efficiently. This position involves outdoor work, preparing burial sites, assisting with interments, maintaining cemetery grounds, and supporting families and visitors in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare burial sites for scheduled services. Assist with interments and burial-related activities. Maintain cemetery grounds, landscaping, and surrounding areas. Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required. Support the setup and cleanup of burial service areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for families and visitors. Follow all safety procedures while performing outdoor and equipment-related tasks. Assist with general cemetery maintenance and daily operations. Work weekends when required based on burial schedules. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license required. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work. Ability to operate heavy machinery/equipment. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions. Strong reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail. Ability to interact respectfully with families, visitors, and coworkers. Willingness to handle a heavy workload and physically demanding working conditions.

Work Environment: Primarily an outdoor position. Requires physical work and operation of heavy equipment. Must maintain professional, presentable attire when assisting with burial services. Some weekend work may be required depending on burial schedules
