Position Summary:
The Student Biology Chemical Hygiene Assistant (CHA) assists the Biology Department Manager with achieving & maintaining chemical hygiene protocol and records, which include (but are not limited to) semi-annual physical inventories of all Biology Department chemicals, maintaining inventory records, organizing chemicals into correct storage groups, maintaining SDS libraries, enforcing GHS standards.
Work schedule will be established at time of hire, and weekly estimated time requirement is 10 to 15 hours.
Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 quarter & maintain student status for the entire Academic Year
Should be cleared and able to start work on or before the desired start date September 23
Must have completed both CHEM 281/L and 282/L with a grade of B or higher, or CHEM111/L, 112/L, 113/L with grade of B or higher within the last 3 years
