Hourly + per diem Electrical Inspection and Quality Control Perform daily inspections of electrical installations to verify compliance with approved IFC drawings, project specifications, approved submittals, and applicable electrical codes. Inspect electrical equipment installation, including switchgear, transformers, panelboards, motor control centers, UPS systems, generators, busway, and power distribution equipment. Inspect conduit, cable tray, underground electrical duct banks, grounding and bonding systems, cable pulls, terminations, and electrical equipment connections. Verify installation quality for medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), power distribution, and associated electrical infrastructure. Inspect electrical rooms, equipment pads, grounding grids, supports, sleeves, penetrations, and firestopping interfaces as applicable to electrical scope. Verify that installed materials and equipment match approved submittals and project requirements. Witness or verify applicable electrical inspections and testing activities in accordance with approved inspection and test plans. Documentation and Reporting Complete daily inspection reports, inspection checklists, inspection and test plan (ITP) records, and quality documentation. Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, installation conflicts, and potential quality issues. Document deficiencies and nonconforming work, issue or support nonconformance reports (NCRs), and track corrective actions through closure. Maintain punch lists, deficiency logs, redline drawings, inspection records, and turnover documentation. Verify that required inspection points, hold points, and witness points are completed and documented. Maintain accurate and organized records using project platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, or other designated systems. Coordination and Field Support Coordinate with electrical superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, general contractors, client representatives, and commissioning teams. Communicate inspection findings promptly and professionally to responsible project personnel. Participate in quality meetings, field walks, installation reviews, and corrective-action follow-ups. Support pre-energization readiness reviews and turnover activities within the assigned inspection scope. Promote a proactive quality culture focused on preventing defects rather than simply identifying them after installation. Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by the Electrical QA/QC Manager.
