Account Executive

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to develop new business and ultimately build and manage a portfolio of customer relationships. This role combines business development, consultative selling, and account management. You will begin with a strong emphasis on new business development rather than inheriting a fully established book of accounts. Initially, your primary responsibility will be to create opportunities, win customers, and demonstrate your ability to grow business. As you prove yourself, you will earn responsibility for an increasingly meaningful portfolio of accounts, serving as the primary commercial owner of those relationships while continuing to identify new opportunities both inside and outside your existing customer base. We are looking for someone who knows how to sell—not simply someone who can respond to inbound requests or maintain existing relationships. The right person is intelligent, curious, coachable, commercially minded, and willing to take ownership from first conversation through execution. What You'll DoBuild New Business Prospect and develop new mid-market and enterprise opportunities. Build your own pipeline while also working company-provided leads and target accounts. Navigate consultative B2B sales cycles ranging from approximately 30 days to 90+ days. Identify customer needs, uncover the true business issues behind objections, and develop strategies to move opportunities forward. Build relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders across customer organizations. Consistently achieve revenue, gross profit, pipeline, meeting/activity, and new-business objectives.

Own & Grow Your Business: Earn responsibility for customer accounts based on demonstrated performance and serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned accounts. Protect and grow existing revenue while identifying whitespace, including new SKUs, product categories, programs, locations, and other expansion opportunities. Manage quoting, samples, project follow-up, forecasting, order coordination, customer communication, and issue resolution. Partner with Outside Sales Executives on strategic accounts and opportunities when in-person engagement or shared coverage is appropriate. Coordinate across Product, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams to keep customer projects moving. Act as the internal quarterback for your opportunities and accounts, following issues and next steps through resolution.

Manage Your Pipeline: Maintain accurate account, opportunity, and activity information in NetSuite. Own pipeline management and forecasting accuracy. Develop clear strategies and next steps for meaningful opportunities. Maintain disciplined follow-up throughout the sales process. Use data, judgment, and customer feedback to prioritize time and opportunities effectively.

What We're Looking For: 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience. Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business. Strong commercial judgment, natural sales instincts, and strategic thinking. Ability to ask intelligent questions, uncover actual customer needs, and distinguish legitimate objections from surface-level resistance. High level of accountability, organization, resourcefulness, and follow-through. Ambitious, hungry, resilient, and motivated by measurable results. Coachable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement. Ability to develop from a supported onboarding environment toward increasing autonomy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technologically capable and comfortable learning new systems; NetSuite experience is preferred but not required. Experience within packaging, CPG, or related industries is helpful but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred; demonstrated ability, experience, and results are more important.

What Success Looks Like: Success means learning quickly, prospecting consistently, building a quality pipeline, and converting opportunities into customers. Over time, we expect you to build a valuable book of business and take increasingly independent ownership of it—from business development and opportunity strategy through day-to-day account management and long-term growth.
