As an independent contractor, you’ll operate your own equipment while hauling no-touch or minimal-touch freight within a performance-driven, safety-focused network. Operate and maintain tractor and applicable trailer equipment safely and efficiently Transport expedited LTL and truckload freight across regional and long-haul routes Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with all DOT and company safety regulations Manage load securement and verify freight counts when required Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery status Provide professional, on-time pickup and delivery with strong customer service Oversee fuel, basic maintenance, and business expenses as an owner operator Follow company policies, procedures, and performance standards Support a safety-first, teamwork-oriented culture on the road and at terminals CDL-A truck driving Freight handling Electronic log systems (ELD) DOT safety compliance Route planning Time management Vehicle inspection and maintenance Load securement Customer service Basic business and recordkeeping 401k Valid CDL-A license Clean driving record DOT medical certification TWIC card (preferred) Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
