What began in 1913 as a 15-bed facility has grown into a modern 142-bed hospital. In 2025, Sturdy received the Leapfrog Top Hospital Award for patient safety and was named byBecker’s as a Great Community Hospital and a Top Place to Work in Healthcare .Our Emergency Department sees over 49,000 annual ED visitsand is undergoinga$113 million ED expansion to be completed in 2027.Weoffer full specialtybackup and24-hourhospitalistcoverage. Our Emergency Department has up to quadruple provider coverage per day, plus anadditionalstaffed fast track area.
