VP of Accounting & Finance – Life Reinsurance

Location: New York City | Working model: Hybrid, 3 days in-office

The Opportunity: This position will play an important role in developing the accounting and finance capabilities of a growing life reinsurance platform. Working closely with senior finance leadership and colleagues across international teams, you will have exposure to a broad range of accounting and operational activities, with the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls and help build a scalable finance function.

Key responsibilities include: Managing accounting reconciliations and investigating discrepancies. Understanding reinsurance contracts and their associated accounting processes. Reviewing system feeds, ledger entries and underlying data. Supporting financial close, management reporting and financial analysis. Strengthening internal controls and improving accounting procedures. Coordinating with international colleagues across finance, operations and actuarial teams.
