Senior Software Engineer, Database Automation

What You'll Do: Design and develop automation solutions for database operations and platform management. Automate provisioning, patching, monitoring, compliance, reporting, and remediation processes. Build reusable frameworks and engineering standards that reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Support and automate Oracle database environments, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Multitenant. Partner with engineering teams to expand automation across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and future database platforms. Lead automation initiatives, mentor team members, and drive operational excellence.

Preferred Experience: Oracle DBA experience in large-scale enterprise environments. Experience with database automation, platform engineering, and CI/CD practices. Knowledge of Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Fleet Patching & Provisioning (FPP). Experience supporting multiple database technologies and modernization initiatives. Agile delivery experience and a passion for continuous improvement. Technical SkillsPython and Linux shell scripting. Ansible or similar automation frameworks. REST APIs and Git. Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, SQL, and PL/SQL. Linux administration and enterprise monitoring tools. Troubleshooting across database, infrastructure, network, and application layers.
