About StoryTellerStoryTeller is an inbound marketing and communications agency serving private clubs, golf associations, and membership organizations. We help clubs attract the right members, keep the ones they have, and communicate with boards, committees, and members in a way that builds trust. Our work runs on HubSpot, and our team works remotely across the country. How We Operate StoryTeller runs on EOS®, the Entrepreneurial Operating System. In practice, that means clear quarterly priorities, weekly Level 10 meetings that keep us accountable, scorecards to track progress, and an Agile sprint process that turns plans into finished work. If you’ve worked at a small company where priorities change daily and no one is sure who owns what, you’ll notice the difference here. We have real structure, and we take it seriously. What We ValueOur culture is built on five core values. We hire, fire, review, and reward around them: Problem Solver: We figure things out and bring solutions, not just problems. Lockdown Reliability: When we commit to something, it gets done, on time and done right. Get Sh*t Done: We value finished work over endless planning. Inspire by Example: We show up in a way that makes us proud to call each other teammates and friends. Character counts as much as talent, and we do the right thing even when no one is watching. Driven to Mastery: We never assume we have it all figured out. We stay curious, keep learning, and get a little better every day.
About the Role:
Our leadership team has no shortage of marketing ideas. We need someone who can organize them, make them better, and get them done. As our Marketing Manager, you’ll run StoryTeller’s own marketing engine: our blog, our podcast, monthly webinars, and the email nurturing that turns that content into conversations with clubs. You’ll manage our marketing work in Jira, keep our editorial calendar on track, guide the work of our Marketing Coordinator, and build the campaigns in HubSpot that bring qualified leads to our sales team. You’ve been doing this long enough to think like a marketer. You know your audience, you know why a campaign works, and you manage your own work like a pro. Experience marketing a private club, resort, golf association, or hospitality brand is a real advantage.
What You’ll Do:- Run the marketing workflow: Turn ideas from our leadership team into Jira cards, groom the backlog, and lead our two-week sprint planning so the work gets done.
- Own the content calendar: Build and maintain our editorial calendar across blogs, podcast episodes, and monthly webinars, and help develop topics that resonate with our audience.
- Build the assets: Create the landing pages, CTAs, promotional emails, and nurture sequences behind every piece of content.
- Segment and nurture: Organize our HubSpot contacts by persona and segment, and run targeted nurture campaigns for club General Managers, Membership Directors, and association leaders.
- Guide our Marketing Coordinator: Organize assignments, give clear direction, and review work for quality.
- Tell us what’s working: Read campaign performance, explain what the numbers mean, and recommend what to keep, change, or try next.
- Make ideas better: Take an idea, sharpen it, and ship it.
- What You Bring3–6 years of professional marketing experience, with work you built yourself and can walk us through.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation, including building emails, landing pages, forms, and automated workflows (required).HubSpot experience (strongly preferred). If your experience is in another platform, we’ll get you up to speed.
- Marketing experience in private clubs, golf, resorts, hospitality, or membership-based organizations (strongly preferred). You create structure. Give you a long list of good ideas and you’ll turn it into a plan, a calendar, and a finished product without waiting to be asked.
- You love the finish line. Checking things off, hitting deadlines, and getting details right energize you.
- You thrive with autonomy. You want trust and room to run, and you bring your manager a plan rather than waiting for one.
- You solve problems. You figure things out before asking for help, and you know when to ask.
- Strong, clear writing.
- Remote work habits that keep your team informed without being asked.
- Jira and Agile experience is a plus. If you haven’t worked in them, we’ll teach you.
