This role requires precision, creativity, and craftsmanship to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have strong sewing and hand-tool skills, experience with power tools, and a passion for transforming furniture pieces into works of art.
Responsibilities:
Sew and assemble upholstery components for furniture, including chairs, sofas, sectionals, and custom-built pieces. - Fabricate and install upholstery covers using a variety of fabrics and materials. - Operate power tools to cut, shape, and trim materials for assembly. - Perform detailed inspections to ensure all finished products meet quality standards. - Restore and refurbish furniture, including frame adjustments and padding replacement. - Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient production. - Travel to client locations to complete on-site upholstery work as needed.
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience. - Proficiency in sewing techniques and operating sewing machines. - Familiarity with power tools and hand tools for precision work. - Knowledge of fabric types and their applications in upholstery. - Valid driver's license for occasional off-site work. - Experience in furniture restoration or custom furniture.
