Description:
American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Rehabilitation unit requiring 1+ year experience, NY license (if applicable), and Epic EMR experience. Details Work in a 41-bed short-term rehabilitation unit within a skilled nursing facility/nursing home setting Patient population includes post-orthopedic and cardiac procedure patients, wound care, hypertension, CHF, and renal failure cases Specialized procedures include wound care, wound vac management, IV therapy, PICC lines, and nephrostomy care Patient ratios are 1:8 days, 1:20 nights, and 1:10 weekends Evening shift schedule of 5x8 hours (1400-2200) Weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend (EOW) basis May be required to float to other units based on facility need Epic EMR experience required
Requirements:
- Current NY LPN license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience requiredBLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:10 patient ratios required
- Skilled in wound care, wound vac management, IV therapy, PICC line care, and nephrostomy care
- Experience with orthopedic and cardiac post-procedure patient care
Additional Information:
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and monitoring of patients recovering from orthopedic and cardiac procedures
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
- Previous employees must have at least a 6-month break in service system-wide to be eligible for rehire
