Job Description:
There are plenty of agronomy sales jobs where you're handed a territory, a list of names, and a big number you're expected to hit. This isn't a build-it-from-scratch territory. Vital Hires is recruiting for an established agricultural company that needs the right salesperson to take over an existing book of business, strengthen those relationships, and find the next level of growth. We're looking for someone who understands production agriculture and enjoys the sales side of the business. You should be comfortable sitting across the table from a grower, asking good questions, identifying opportunities, and earning the business rather than simply taking orders.
What we're looking for:
Experience selling or working with crop protection, fertilizer, seed, crop nutrition, agronomy services, or related agricultural products is strongly preferred.
More importantly, we're looking for someone who:
Knows how to build credibility with growers.
Isn't afraid to prospect and ask for new business.
Can grow existing accounts instead of simply maintaining them.
Understands that good agronomy sales requires both technical knowledge and relationship skills.
Works well with operations and the rest of the local team.
Wants compensation tied to performance and sees that as an opportunity, not a risk.
You don't need 15 years of experience or every agronomy credential available. You do need enough agricultural knowledge to have a credible conversation and the drive to continue learning.
The opportunity:
You're stepping into an established territory with existing customers and business already in place. The goal isn't to protect what's there. It's to build on it.
You'll work directly with growers, identify agronomic needs, recommend products and services, develop new accounts, and become a trusted point of contact within the territory.
The company has the product offering, infrastructure, technical resources, and support behind you to compete. They need someone who wants to go out and use it.
This is a full-time, year-round position with a base salary plus performance-based compensation and a company vehicle. For someone who can develop business, there is meaningful financial upside.
Who should apply?
If you've been successful in ag sales and feel like you've outgrown your current opportunity, I want to talk to you.
If you're earlier in your career but have legitimate agronomy experience and know you have the personality and drive for sales, I'm interested in that conversation too.
This company isn't looking for a warm body to cover a territory. They're looking for someone who wants to own the relationships, grow the business, and build a career around the results.
All inquiries through Vital Hires will be handled confidentially.#hc265885
