APPLY NOW (opens in a new tab)Our CLIENT is a leading global designer and manufacturer of highly engineered power control solutions for blue-chip OEM customers across the semiconductor manufacturing, industrial technology, and healthcare markets. The company delivers highly customized AC-DC, DC-DC, high-voltage, and RF power solutions through a vertically integrated model spanning design, manufacturing, and supply chain operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. As global demand accelerates—particularly in AI infrastructure, semiconductor, and advanced technology markets—our client operates in an exceptionally dynamic, high-growth environment that demands speed, agility, and operational excellence across its global manufacturing network.
THE ROLE:
Our CLIENT seeks a hands-on Senior Electronics Design Engineer to bring deep switch-mode power supply expertise to the HVHP team. This senior individual contributor will sit at the front end of technology development, taking new ideas from concept and breadboard through prototype and design-ready maturity, while contributing technical depth across active product development and sustaining work. The ideal candidate is a practical electronics engineer, ideally with high-voltage (kV) experience, who has designed power supplies and brought them to market in an industry setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive early-stage technology development for the HVHP roadmap, turning whiteboard concepts into prototypes, and maturing them to producible, design-ready designs. Contribute senior technical expertise across all active projects, including the next-generation product line replacing legacy designs (smaller, more powerful, lower heat), customer-specific derivatives, and from-scratch customer designs on short timelines. Lead schematic creation and review, PCB review, circuit analysis, and hands-on lab testing, and carry real technical sign-off weight in design reviews. Document and present HV technology project findings to technical stakeholders across on a regular cadence. Direct and supervise engineering technicians and junior engineers in the lab, ensuring testing is safe and productive and sharing HV design knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.10 + years of power electronics design and development experience, including substantial high-voltage DC (kV-range) power supply design. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Proven track record of designing power supply products and bringing them from concept to market, with a practical focus on cost and manufacturability. Deep expertise in switch-mode power supply and inverter design, with strong analog and digital circuit analysis skills and an understanding of HV materials, insulation, and packaging constraints. Hands-on skill with a wide range of lab equipment; experience with C, LabVIEW, or MATLAB and with RS232, USB, or Ethernet protocols is desirable. Clear communicator who can present technical findings and represent HVHP independently in cross-site discussions.
