VDC/BIM Engineer Designer (Nashville, TN)A well-established commercial construction company in Nashville is growing its in-house VDC/BIM team and looking for a Engineer/Coordinator/Designer to join them. This is a great fit for someone with a drafting or design background who wants to move closer to the build. You’d see your models turn into real structures, work alongside the field and project teams, and grow your skills with the latest VDC tools.
What you’ll do:
- Build 3D models from design drawings and documents
- Produce 2D shop drawings the field uses for layout
- Review design documents, catch conflicts early, and send clear questions to design teams
- Coordinate models with general contractor and trade partner VDC teams
- Work closely with project managers from planning through construction
- Create as-built models and drawings from field layout data
- Help evaluate and roll out new VDC technology across projects
What you bring: 2–5 years of drafting, design, or detailing experience
Required:
