Thinking Ahead Executive Search is partnering with a well-established public accounting firm to find a Tax Manager who will lead complex tax engagements across a diverse client base. This manager-level role blends hands-on technical work, client advisory, and team leadership, with real influence over process improvements, the development of emerging professionals, and the continued growth of a collaborative tax practice.
What You'll Do:
- Technical Leadership
- Review tax returns across a diverse public accounting client base
- Manage tax authority correspondence on behalf of clients
- Client Advisory
- Provide client planning and consulting on complex tax engagements
- Team & Engagement Leadership
- Train and mentor staff, supporting the growth of developing tax professionals
- Manage engagement timelines and budgets
- Contribute to process improvements within a collaborative tax practice
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related fieldCPA certification Public accounting experience in tax preparation and tax return review
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tax software, including RIA, CCH, and ProSystem fxPosition Details
