** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to fill a contract assignment in the Calera, Alabama area. It is estimated to last 3 years. It is a temporary position.
US Citizenship required.
Prescreening questions are required.

Requirements:
PPE:Hard hat, safety shoes, and high viz vest. Successful candidates must provide their own safety shoes.
Job Summary:- This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices. Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience:- Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance. The Level 1 Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications include:- Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes; Experience operating power boats and watercraft
- Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Attention to detail.
- This position does not require driving (excluding commute)
- This position does not require personal protective equipment
- This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
