Microsoft 365 Cloud Technical Lead

We are partnering with a leading global financial services organization seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Cloud Technical Lead to help own and evolve its global Microsoft 365 environment. This is a highly hands-on technical leadership position combining architecture, engineering, automation, and platform ownership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence technical direction while remaining directly involved in designing and implementing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead architecture and engineering across the global Microsoft 365 platform
- Design and support SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD, and IntuneOwn Exchange Online mail flow, routing, and hybrid environmentsDesign identity, authentication, Conditional Access, and access management solutions
- Manage mobile device access across iOS and Android environmentsDesign and support Azure services underlying the Microsoft 365 environment
- Build automation and self-healing solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
- Improve monitoring and observability using Log Analytics and KQLLead technical initiatives from initial architecture through implementation and global rollout
- Reduce legacy and hybrid complexity while improving platform reliability and scalability
Ideal Background:- 7+ years of Microsoft 365 engineering or architecture experience within large enterprise environments
- Deep hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and Exchange OnlineStrong Entra ID / Azure AD architecture experience
- Strong PowerShell automation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Intune / MDMHands-on Azure infrastructure experience
- Exposure to Microsoft Graph, Terraform, GitHub/IaC, Log Analytics, and KQLExperience designing and simplifying complex or hybrid Microsoft environments
- Ability to operate as both a technical architect and hands-on engineer
- Comfortable owning large technical initiatives with minimal oversight
Experience within financial services, trading, large-scale technology environments, or other organizations where platform availability is business-critical would be highly valuable.
