Draftsman / SolidWorks DesignerJM Fabrication Company LLC – Arlington, TXRole OverviewJM Fab is seeking a Draftsman/SolidWorks Designer to create 3D models and manufacturing drawings supporting fabrication, machining, quoting, and production.
Responsibilities:
Build 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks from customer drawings, sketches, models, and specifications.
Create flat patterns, weldment drawings, assembly drawings, and fixture designs for fabrication and machining.
Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and maintain drawing and model revision control.
Support estimating with models, part geometry, and manufacturability input.
Work with production and quality to resolve drawing questions and design changes.
Handle customer and export-controlled technical data according to company procedures.
Qualifications:
2+ years of SolidWorks modeling and drafting in a manufacturing environment (preferred).Strong understanding of GD&T and drafting standards.
Knowledge of sheet metal, welding, and machining processes.
Technical degree or certificate in drafting, design, or engineering (preferred).CSWA or CSWP certification (preferred).
