Job Description:- Job Description
- Are you tired of being told to rush jobs instead of building them right?
- Maybe you're working with cheap materials that make quality work nearly impossible.
- Or maybe you take pride in your craftsmanship, but you're surrounded by people who don't.
- If you're an experienced deck builder who cares about quality, details, and leaving every project better than you found it, we'd like to meet you.
- At Solid Ground Construction, we build custom outdoor living spaces that homeowners are proud of for years to come. We believe great projects start with great people, and we're looking for experienced craftsmen who want to be part of a team that values quality over shortcuts.
What You'll Do:
Build custom decks and outdoor living spaces to Solid Ground's quality standards.
Read blueprints and execute projects accurately from start to finish.
Lead by example while working alongside the crew to maintain a safe, productive jobsite.
Take pride in your craftsmanship, paying attention to the details that separate a good deck from a great one.
What Success Looks Like:- Projects are completed on schedule.
- Finished work meets Solid Ground's quality standards with minimal punch-list items or callbacks.
- Jobsites remain safe, organized, and professional.
- Homeowners walk away excited about the finished product.
- You'll Be a Great Fit If You...Take pride in doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.
- Show up on time and follow through on your commitments.
- Communicate well with your crew and homeowners.
- Solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to fix them.
- Care about the details that most people overlook.
- Want to keep learning and help raise the standard of the team around you.
- This Role Is NOT for You If...You're looking for the easiest way to get through the day.
- You cut corners to save time.
- You don't take ownership of your work.
- You struggle to work as part of a team.
- You're satisfied with "good enough."Why Solid Ground?
- We're building more than decks.
- We're building a team of craftsmen who care about quality, keep their commitments, and take pride in every project they complete. We believe our work creates places where families make memories, and we want people on our team who believe that matters.
- Ready to Apply?
- If you're an experienced deck builder who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to build projects you'll be proud to put your name on, we'd love to hear from you.
- Submit your application through ZipRecruiter and include a brief note telling us:
- How many years you've been building decks
