Job Description Are you the precision-obsessed machinist we’re looking for? If you love dialing in offsets, chasing microns, and solving machining challenges in a fast-moving shop, this role is for you.
What you’ll do:- Own setups and production on CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
- Translate blueprints, drawings, and work instructions into a clear machining plan.
- Select, install, and swap cutting tools to match material and geometry.
- Set work and tool offsets; complete efficient, repeatable setups.
- Run first-piece verification and perform disciplined in-process checks.
- Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicators to validate features.
- Apply program edits and tool wear adjustments to hold spec.
- Troubleshoot chatter, finish, and dimensional issues; recommend better methods.
- Meet production targets while maintaining strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance; sustain a clean, safe workstation.
- Adhere to safety rules and quality procedures at all times.
