Traffic Engineer - Signal Design/Traffic Studies:
Impact Designs Inc. Impact is experiencing tremendous growth in the transportation sector, and we're seeking a motivated Traffic Engineer to help propel our Signal Design/Traffic Study group to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform conceptual and final signal design, interchange access turn lanes, and urban roadway projects for both public and private sector clients.
- Develop signal design, including electrical and programing detail
- Reading and understanding design manuals and standards
- Interpret designs
- Review plans and prepare or review project special previsions, contract documents, and cost estimates
- Support proposal development and contribute to business growth initiatives
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Experience:- BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program or graduating December 20266 months of experience in traffic engineering
- Engineering design, written, oral, and communication skills
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in traffic engineering
- Proficiency using AutoCAD or other civil engineering drafting software
- Experience with NCDOT and/or SCDOT as well as NC and SC municipalities is desired
- Experience reading plans and specifications for traffic management during construction, pavement marking and signage, and traffic signals
- Experience developing signal designs and or ITS plans (preferred)
