This hands-on role involves preparing, cutting, and shaping metal components for production, while safely operating equipment and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate plasma cutting machines, track torches, and beveling equipment
- Run saws to cut metal components accurately
- Prepare and process pipe, plate, and structural steel for fabrication
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Collaborate with welders, fitters, and supervisors to meet production goals
Requirements:- Experience running plasma cutters, track torches, or beveling equipment
- Ability to operate saws and process metal accurately
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, bend, and work in a shop environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience in a fabrication or production shop
- Experience with structural steel or pipe processing
