Rug Cutter

Detailed Job Summary: Review each work order paying very close attention to details for each order to determine the correct shape and size to cut the rug. The pattern/design of each fabricated rug must be centered and balanced meaning that the center point of the rug features the main design element. In order to do this correctly the cutter must have the ability to calculate basic mathematics and the ability to use a tape measure in order to properly mark the rug for cutting. Once all measurements are determined the cutter should recalculate all measurements to ensure that everything is correct BEFORE cutting the carpet. Quality Top quality is of the utmost importance. It is imperative that the cutter applies correct measurements and makes accurate cuts. If carpet is cut incorrectly the miscut piece becomes unusable and all profits for that particular rug are lost. Equipment Ensure that all equipment is used correctly and safely. Equipment used: Calculator, Tape Measure, Laser, Knife

Minimum requirements: High School/GED. Computer Experience required. Abilities required: Ability to use AS400, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Ability to lead by example.
