We are seeking an SMT Manufacturing Technician to support production in an electronics manufacturing environment. This role involves operating automated surface mount technology (SMT) equipment used to manufacture printed circuit boards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality work while following established procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate SMT equipment, including screen printers, solder paste inspection machines, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and conveyor systems.
Replenish component reels using automated splicing equipment to maintain efficient production flow.
Monitor equipment performance, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate technical issues when necessary.
Hand-place electronic components onto printed circuit boards when required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Perform routine daily and weekly preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow established safety procedures and report potential hazards.
Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure consistent production quality.
Provide feedback and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.At least 6 months of machine operation or manufacturing assembly experience.
Previous SMT experience is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow technical instructions and established procedures.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Schedule and Employment:
Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.Starting pay of $20 per hour. Temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and reliability.
