Forge Resources Group is looking to expand our supply chain team to further support the needs of our customer base at our DeKalb, IL location. This role offers an opportunity to learn about the support-business aspects and functionality of Forge Resources Group. Reporting to the Business Director, the Supply Chain Management Trainee will undergo a multi-month training program focused on supply chain responsibility.
Upon training completion, the candidate will be placed in a role that best suits company needs and candidate strength. The long-term goal of this position is to lead and manage efforts that create value for customers through procurement, and commercial order management. Additional leadership training and development will be offered to allow for long-term growth opportunities within the organization.
Supply Chain Training will specifically cover:
- Purchasing:
- Creating Purchase Orders
- Purchase Order Management
- Managing MRP raw material requirement
- Allocating and releasing raw material
- Vendor Management Strategy
- Material Yield Optimization
- Inventory Management
- Order Entry/Contract Management:
- Creating Sales Orders
- Creating Quotes
- EstimatingOrder acknowledgement
- Contract review
Positional Requirements:
The right candidate for this position will demonstrate motivation and interest in partnering with various team members in learning and enhancing business activity.
Skills required/preferred:
- Strong analytical skillsStrong business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or Similar Field
- Purchasing or estimating experience preferred 2-3+ years of experience in comparable field(s) preferred
- Ambition to learn and collaborate with various departments
- Strong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong ERP and MRP background preferred
- Strong project management skills
