Medical-Surgical Travel Registered Nurse

Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg Travel Nurse for a day-shift assignment in Puyallup, WA. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality bedside care, manage complex med-surg patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans. You’ll educate patients and families, document accurately in the EMR, and support safe discharges. Provide comprehensive med-surg nursing care to a diverse adult patient population Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical status Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Implement and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team Document all care and patient responses in the EMR in a timely, accurate manner Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Coordinate discharges and transitions of care with case management and providers Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Communicate clearly with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize outcomes Adapt quickly to new hospital settings, workflows, and unit expectations as a traveler Medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Wound care management Telemetry monitoring Care planning and coordination EMR documentation Discharge planning and patient education Infection control practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license (WA or compact, as applicable) BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) preferred
