Title: Senior Project Developer, Community Solar (Illinois)
Location:
IllinoisI'm working with an established Midwest solar developer that's looking to add a Senior Project Developer to its team. They develop community solar and utility scale projects, and this role will lead their community solar work in Illinois.
What you'll do:- Lead Illinois projects from site selection through to notice to proceed
- Find and secure sites, and negotiate directly with landowners
- Run county permitting, including special use permits and public hearings
- Manage interconnection with ComEd and Ameren through the study process
- Position projects for Illinois Shines and handle program requirements
- Coordinate engineering, environmental and legal consultants
- Represent projects at zoning boards and community meetings
- What you'll bring 5+ years in solar project development
- Illinois community solar projects you've taken to NTP yourself
- Strong knowledge of county permitting and interconnection in Illinois
- Comfortable leading the room with landowners, county boards and local officials
- Minnesota community solar or storage experience is a plus
- Based in Illinois
