Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in political science, government, public policy, public administration, economics, legal studies, or related fieldAt least one year of professional experience in government, public policy, advocacy, or a related fieldExcellent writing skillsAbility to research complex issues and convey findings clearly and concisely both verbally and in writingAbility to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectivelyDemonstrated interest in state government and policyPreferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in government, public policy, advocacy, or a related fieldExperience working in state government, a trade association, or a government affairs firmFamiliarity with New York State legislative and budget processHoursThis is a full-time, in-office positionDuring the Legislative Session (January through June), the position requires availability outside of standard business hours.
