Volunteer/Chaperone

Application Process: The recommendation for volunteer approval must be requested by the principal or faculty sponsor at least 2 weeks before the start date of the volunteer activity. The request to volunteer must be approved by the school principal, and the Child Welfare and Attendance Officer will make the decision on whether a background check is required. The volunteer will complete the online volunteer application and acknowledgement of volunteer policies, procedures, and responsibilities. In order to be approved as a volunteer, a candidate may be required to complete criminal background checks and fingerprints. Volunteer coaches will be required to complete additional trainings. Prohibited Criminal Offenses Please note that the Lincoln Parish School Board policy and Louisiana law consider the crimes listed below as prohibited criminal offenses as set forth in Louisiana R.S. 15:587.1, and include convictions for attempt or conspiracy to commit any of these offenses. Conviction or plea of nolo contendere, even if adjudication was withheld, will be considered for the purpose of determining volunteer eligibility.
